The Perran family is the family line which rules over the city of Ausper, managing its governance and its commercial activity throughout the Kingdom of Arsavela.

Homegrown Power

The Harvest Belt is known to be the Kingdom of Arsavela's agricultural powerhouse, but not many realize that the bulk of the kingdom's production is sourced from Perran-owned fields. Never too eager to brag about their success, the Perran family pins its pride on the abundance of its harvests, but attributes their successes to the blessings of the gods and antecedents who walked their homeland in the times of ancients past. Surprisingly humble for their successes, the heads of the Perran family make their best effort to not butt heads with other families along the Belt, though such a thing can hardly be avoided in recent years.

Embracing the Auspices

The Perran family is among the few families that don't go by the same name as the city they govern and, effectively, own. Though their name is still inspired by their city of Ausper, a play on the second syllable, families such as Teleris and Leovan are exact namesakes. The Perran patriarch, Luzan, once stated that they wanted their work and output to speak for them, and not simply rely on names to drive these connections, though when communications grow tense he is prepared to remind all that he is not simply Luzan Perran, but Luzan of Ausper.

In an effort to keep good faith, while maintaining connections, many Harvest Belt celebrations between multiple families are hosted in Ausper and utilize their facilities and venues for celebration and ceremony alike. Despite the quarrels commonly seen across the Harvest Belt's feuding families, causes for celebration often bid these families to set aside differences for a time.
