Leovan Estates

The Leovan Estates are a farmstead village of the Harvest Belt, and home to one of the most prolific of the Harvest Belt families. Of all the Beltsteaders, the Leovan family had some of the strongest influence over the travel of goods between Aurel and the lands now known as the Melocazh Barrens, but this line of trade was crippled with the fall of the monarchy, and the destruction which overtook the southern lands.
The Leovan estate is a village comprised of several smaller sections housing different generations of the Leovan family, and much of the land within their claim is farmland and pastures, producing a variety of agricultural products ranging from vegetables to livestock fit for slaughter.
The Leovan family had an offshoot settlement in the melocazh barrens, before conditions grew too dire to live in the region, connected by one of their primary trade routes. Now that the sands have all but crept up to their southern fields, their estate rests on the line between a lush agricultural jewel, and hungry sands threatening to swallow all they know.
Numerous members of the Leovan family made the journey to the estates to seek shelter with their northern relatives, but this has served only to overcrowd the modest settlement. This would be a nonissue any other time, but the dangerous circumstances bid them to continue journeying north, leaving their home and livelihoods behind in order to simply survive. No other families have offered to harbor the Leovans and their kin, though word of the dire situation has slowly crept north as other families in the Northlands began to witness the effects incoming.
One member of the Leovan family, Velica Leovan, is a younger daughter of the southern Leovans. She arrived before the Barrens were dessicated, but her immediate family did not join her. While many of the Leovans strive to move ever north, she and several others plead to venture into the Barrens to bring their relatives home with them.
