Lake Eputok is a body of water located northeast of the city of Ausper, with Morningtide located on the other side.

Life in the Wood

This lake offers a broad clearing in the forested area separating the cities of Ausper and Morningtide, a view which many travelers along its shores can affirm is beautiful throughout the year. Commonly traveled by those who venture between cities on foot, the paths along the southern banks of the lake are most heavily trod. The northern paths are considered more dangerous for travel, though they are a favored hunting ground for those who seek to bring home fresh meat.

Lakeside Resources

Lake Eputok provides a wealth of natural resources to its nearby cities, ranging from edible vegetation, fish, and craft resources. The stones which line the lakesides are often collected for decorative pavements and sculptures, and the gravel is likewise harvested for processing into various secondary materials and products.

Sunken Ruins

Though considered too far north and inland to be part of the Auspicious Shores, the lake itself contains many of the same abandoned and crumbling ruins that connect the rest of the lands along the eastern shores. Too deep to functionally explore, theories fly regarding whether or not this lake housed the same potential Antecedent populations as the rest of these lands.

The lake's form appears somewhat strange, with cuts along the shore that seem out of place or artificially shaped, and depths which vary without cause. The island which sits at the middle of the lake is supported by a pillar of earth that extends from the lake floor with an unnatural verticality, its shores plunging down at a steep angle near the edge of the waters.
