Ausper

We gather in the auspices of the ascended themselves, who have blessed our lands to provide forevermore.
— Ausperian priest
Ausper is a city located east of Aurel within the Kingdom of Arsavela.

Favored of the Harvest

Though much of the Kingdom of Arsavela serves as agricultural land, Ausper finds itself at the heart of the so-called Harvest Belt of Arsavela, boasting historically bountiful growth and harvest each year that few other cities have ever hoped to match. The people who live within this city consider themselves to be the Favored of the Harvest, attributing their bounty to the blessings of the Ascended Champions of the Dawn; Levje, especially, is seen as a patron of those who live and work within Ausper's city limits.

Historic Overgrowth

All around the city of Ausper lay the remains of ancient Antecedent architecture, long overgrown and crumbled beyond use. With no grand findings in exploration of these ruins, the people of Ausper simply chose to build their lives in and around the structures, sometimes choosing to adopt their architectural styles in their own new construction to emulate the historical essence of their homeland.
Though the people of Ausper know precious little of the former residents of these grand structures, some context clues have indicated that their end was sudden and explosive; the city's center was founded at the theoretical epicenter of what appeared to have been a historical explosion or impact which occurred long before the time of human occupation of Arsavela. It laid the perfect foundation for the city of Ausper to take root, however, so its residents venerate those who came before and often hold traditional vigil for the lost, whom they had never met.

Teleran Trade Network

Though Ausper is regarded as the agricultural powerhouse of Arsavela, its ability to import and export its goods are heavily reliant on its neighbors in Teleris, who have made transport of goods their specialty. The road to Aurel passes through Teleris, whose roads are most favorable for its own merchant vehicles. Routine stops and customs inspections cause trouble for unauthorized passersby, but any with the Teleran seal are free to pass as they please. The price to pay for the seal is well worth the losses incurred from dodgy inspections and customs seizing. The sea-route from Laoro to Silverbay is the only other option, but the port at Laoro does not offer the capacity for mass export Ausper seeks in bringing goods to Aurel, in particular.
