Harvest Close

The harvest Close marks the autumn equinox. This is typically a large celebration that starts towards the evening, after a day of work with preparations. It is also often a rather drunken event for those so inclined. Food served are a variety of autumn fruits and vegetables, beverage is mostly beer brewed from the last batches of grain.   There are sometimes small games going on - but not something that could get anyone hurt. And while authorities might not approve, gambling is very common. Various more elaborate games that focus on intelligence or perception are often seen, as well as a few dexterity challenges such as apple bobbing. But the important part is the sense of community. Agreements and declarations of friendships are considered more important if made during Harvest Close.
