Druid

Nature is a powerful force that permeates the planes. It might not be personified the way the gods are, but it is at least as omnipresent in its power. Those who learn to become one with the wild are able to take on the shape of the animals living there and draw power from nature to cast spells. This is what a druid is - a conduit for nature by becoming part of it.

Social Status

Druids are most common amongst people who live outside larger cities and thus have more direct interaction with the wild. This is also where they are most respected. In smaller tribes, they often fill a religious role as much as any cleric would.
Cities are less respectful of druids. They are often just considered a form of a lesser-educated spellcaster.
