Overview
One of the police inspectors that work with Chief Arai Ryouta of the PSIA in Okayama Prefecture. Despite Arai's yokai status, Inspector Takahashi has seen very few supernatural entities. Though, he'll be the first to add--that he knows, yokai are good at blending in. The PSIA tried to recruit him after seeing his marks on the police exam. But he wished to join the police and work alongside the organization instead because the PSIA doesn't have the authority to arrest (and thus can't complete the case)1. He started on the Tokyo police force and after a few years chose to move back to the prefecture his family was from, where he rose quickly to the rank of Inspector.
