Mood Rings

As it shimmers a shade between purple and blue, a silver bead rolls in a figure-eight, swirling the liquid inside the rounded jewel.
   

True mood rings come in a pair.   One shows the wearer's mood (the reader).   It's counterpart reads/mimics the first (the receiver).   The duo works over any distance.

 

Color Meanings:

Black
extreme distress/anger
Yellow
agitated
Green
stormy/between moods
Blue
relaxed/content
Violet
thrilled/passionate
 

Many beings are able to hide their true emotions on the outside. But the Koujin Tear and Mythical Bi (fire) tap the ki of the person - to see the spirit. How one uses the information gleaned from the knowledge of another's moods could be for good or ill.

 

A spouse wanting to better understand an extremely introverted partner's moods could be invaluable for a troubled relationship.

 

On the other hand, forcing someone to wear the reader ring during an interrogation could be considered too intrusive.
