Jude Turnbull Character in The Works of Johannes T. Evans | World Anvil

Jude Turnbull

Jude Turnbull and his sister, Bridget Turnbull, were the proprietors of the Stone Post, an inn and public house in the north-east of England in the 1800s, having inherited it after their mother and father died in a sudden, unexpected accident when Jude was 17 and Bridget was 20.   He was marble-pale, his skin the pale, dusty colour of white chalk, with heavily lidded eyes darkened with purple shadow, very clearly defined lips, and a very strong bone structure. His hair was a dark, sandy blond, and typically fell in lank waves around his face.   Every two months, Jude traveled to Heatherton to assist the Ichthys, a fishing trawler, unload its salted haul, clean it, and so on, before returning to his sister at the Stone Post.
