Dinah Alice Winston
Dinah Alice Winston is an active magic-user who was born in Point Fortin on Trinidad in 1929 and after training as a nurse, she came over to England to work within the NHS. She is the Lead Nurse in the Caer Afon Walk-In GUM Clinic.
For being nearly a hundred years old, she looks half her age, owing to her rate of aging being slowed down somewhat by how much she uses magic as both a nurse and in her personal life.
Dinah is a cheerful woman of God who does no harm but takes no shit: she has refused promotions to further levels of administration within the hospital over the years due to her dislike of paperwork over practical nursing and, more importantly, teaching younger nurses, which is what she enjoys most about nursing.
She has seen everything and is surprised by nothing.
Dinah Winston has been happily married to her third husband, Barnabas, for thirty-seven years, and the two of them have two adult children, as well as Dinah's four children from previous marriages. She and Barnabas also foster magical youths in Bristol.
