Royal Dragon Tamer

Royal dragon tamers are some of the most highly regarded people on the planet. Nobody can do what they do, and it is remarkable how some of them tame the dragons they do. I myself am an unqualified dragon tamer, as I've tamed a few dragons before (more than a hundred, to be exact), but I am not good enough to be a royal dragon tamer.

Qualifications

There are many different qualifications that can make one a dragon tamer. The most well known qualification is to officially have a hundred dragons tamed. If I wanted to, I could become a royal dragon tamer, but very few of my dragons are officially tamed since you need to get a license for the particular dragon, and I have just 3 of them.

Another qualification you can get in order to become a royal dragon tamer is to have a competence license. This license just suggests that you are competent enough to become a royal dragon tamer. These are near impossible to obtain, and are mostly just used for bragging purpose if you can get one. I've only actually met one person with a competence license rather than having a hundred tamed dragon licenses, and gosh knows how he did it because he is not competent in the slightest.

Fame

All royal dragon tamers are very famous people. Everyone knows who they are, and they are highly regarded. Most leaders of settlements or organisations will have a few royal dragon tamers in their contacts, just for emergencies and to say they do.

Equipment

Royal dragon tamers always carry a small badge that goes on their clothing, visible from very far away. These badges are made of pure gold and are a symbol of their status. Those with these badges immediately command great respect from everybody.
