Runic letters

Each person has a unique runic name. To find it, a person must undergo a safe and quick magical ritual. These runic names are powerful over the person and thus, most people create unique nicknames for themselves based on their real runic name (if not based on their runic name it wont work). These names, these nicknames in specific, are used for communications and sending. They are the base for the runic letters to work.

The runic letters used to be a method to send messages to other people, regardless of the distance, immediately. For it to work, both the reciever and the sender require to have a specialized message paper, named runic letter, that will reciebe messages and allow the user to send them, the can make themself longer in size to adapt to the message length. These papers have the front page empty, ready to recieve or send a message, while in their back, they have intricated rune work, formuling a spell thats makes tehrunic letters to work.

As with most magic in Iphars, these papers have becomed unreliabled albeit they look easier to fix than other spells. It is believed that most nicknames have becomed useless as they collide partially with Iphar's runic name (the differences, if any, of the ashtarian and ipahrian runic names are still not fully known).

While fixing the nicknamesto become unique again seems helpful towards the spell, there is a low percentage (but it exists, unlike in ahstara) where the letter will go to some random place or wont send or will send but with wrong characters or words.

The changes of the nicknames bring forth a main important problem. To send a runic letter, you must know teh runic nickname, so as most people had to change their runic nickname, most connection between people broke as they were unaware of the new nicknames of their contacts.
