The people with the lavimal rank are scholars that have learned to deal with animals that live in lava and are the ones called when a lava animal is out a lava pool and is a danger to a place or people.
They only exist in Dhalgron, and there are only a few people, but they are slowly growing and recently are asked to go to other places near other lava lakes in Branul.

Requirements

People with lavimal rank have learned differents specifics things to be able to take this rank:

• The way lava works and moves.
• General animal behaviour and biology.
• Everything that is known about lava animals.
• The dangers of the lava and the lava animal may cause when wild.

After learning all this information, they are required to pass some test to make sure they: are mentally sane, can keep calm on stressful situations, can work with lava animals (from the peaceful ones to the dangerous ones), have learned all the information necessary.

Responsibilities

At work

Lavimal have differents ways to deal with the animals, from luring them with their favourite food to drag them to the lava with special chains in the worse cases. With this dangerous work, it is not a surprise that many (to not say everyone) have burns of all kind, and that they know how to deal with wounds made by animals.

Their principal responsibility is to deal with stray lava animals that ended up walking in Dhalgron. They take them back to the Knikis source with the less destruction and casualties possible. When there is none wild animal in @dhal to take care of, they research the lava animals in their natural habitat.
Sometimes they even deal with non-lava animals if no one else can do it, though most are with dangerous animals. They work as doctors sometimes as well, mostly when lava related wounds are involved.

Benefits

Money is the principal benefit, and most of the lavimal have come here for it. There are others benefits such: free materials (if needed for work), influence over people, more knowledge, and test specimens (this one is not morally acceptable, so they deny it even if they use it almost daily).

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

If a lavimal does a terrible job or their methods are too much unorthodox and not very efficient, they may lose this rank as they are required to put an order with as fewer casualties and destruction as possible. If the lavimal cannot do this, they need to redo the tests (this time they are more complex, and strict), and their comportment at the job is revised. If the government does not like any of the results, they will take away the rank.

Doctor? Me?

Some lavimal do more medical work than others, and thus their workmates usually call them doctors. These lavimal are usually particularly good at treating burn wounds and heat stress.

Vet time!

Some lavimal love more to heal animals than to fix the problems they do. They learn how to treat them and are a crucial part of the teams that deal with the animals as sometimes the best way to deal with them is to heal them.

Equates to

They are equal to an investigator, and people recognized them as actual investigators. Though they are in a higher rank than some of the police ranks, they are equated to police sergeant when dealing with the animals and people obey their orders if it is related to the animal problem.

Equipment

Lavimal require armour when dealing animals, but they do not have specific equipment. If they need something, they will have it. There is only one think that they need to wear always, and it is the badge that shows they are lavimal.
