Koarthis

Koarthis are the people that work as poachers and animals dealers. They have always existed, but they have never been liked.

Career

Qualifications

While this profession does not need any qualifications, many koarthis like to have some basic knowledge about the animals they are going to kill or deal with. If the koarthis is thinking about dealing with the animals, they may study more about the animals, to the point to know their customs, biological cycles, and diet.

Payment & Reimbursement

Koarthis do not get payed as a normal job, do not have a salary each month. They are payed for each part or animal they sell. The payment may be lower or higher depening on the animal they are trying to sell (Icno are sold for a higher price than a Viriik because the rarity of the Icno).

Perception

Social Status

The Koarthis use to have a high social status in the Nivalis community. Nivalis loved to buy animal parts from the koarthis to make jewelry and clothes with them, they payed incredible sums of money for exotic animals, even if their parts were not comfortable or beautiful.

Demographics

People in this work are mostly males, smart or strong, or sometimes both. A small percentage of the koarthis, are smart woman that are helped by some men.

Dangers & Hazards

With the high payment of this work comes a great danger. Most species that are involved in this job are dangerous when they feel in danger. Some animals can only hurt the koarthis, but there are other animals that can cause death.

Koarthis have been always considered illegal as animals are important in a lot of cultures of Branul.
Even thought they have always been considerated illegal, goverment has asked for their help several times so they could create reserves with endangered species such as Icno. Scientifics also asked for their help several times, mostly so they can get speciments to work with or to study the corpses of the animals.
