Ritual
The querent begins to dehydrates and will start to suffer random ailments. In 2d4 days, the Querent dies from the ailments. The next day, they will rise as a mummy.
While transformed, when the sun rises, roll a d10. On a 1 or 2, at some point during the day a large sandstorm will engulf everything within several miles. If you instead consume the eyes of a sentient being, there will be no sandstorm.
Whispers
A previous legend is uncovered, claiming that an ancient monarch will rise from the dead to eat the eyes of the living, turning their lands into deserts and the vengeful ruler will be served by several living heralds.
