Refrigeration

Refrigeration allows for the cooling or even freezing of areas and items, providing comfort or a means of preservation, especially in hot areas. This is accomplished through the use of cold stones to pull heat out of their surroundings and replace it with cold. Specialized cold stones called circulators are also available to add movement to the air for more even cooling.

Utility

Refrigeration is used to preserve food and other items, and to cool buildings in the heat of the growing season. Various hobbies and games have also been developed to utilize the technology.

Access & Availability

Refrigeration was originally a high maintenance magical skill available only to experienced elementalists. With the invention of cold stone this technology was extended to anyone who could afford the regular maintenance the stones require.
