The Vareshuyara are the people of northern Ilwyrika, living in the lands where the ice barely ever melts. They are a nation of nomadic tribes who hold the deepest respect for nature and the devastation it can wreak.
Each tribe of the Vareshuyara owns a small herd of large, shaggy cattle, an animal which they consider sacred. They are kept for their milk and their dung; it is taboo to eat the meat from these cattle. Every tribe member, even very young children, are marked with shimmering blue tattoos. These tattoos are created by shamans whilst under the influence of hallucinogenic smoke and are greatly symbolic.
