The people who inhabit the island of Vale are often called 'the ghost men' by outsiders. They are an insulated culture, very rarely doing trade with other countries and peoples.
The island of Vale is covered in twisted, ancient forests. The majority of Valen settlements cling to the outskirts of these forests, but there are a few that exist in clearings amongst the trees. The Valen have a plethora of lore and stories about the forest that has been passed down through the generations.
