The Stemorish

The Stemorish are the human inhabitants of the country of Stemor, to the south of the continent of Sarsand. They are a people that care a lot about tradition and their religion, with much of their way of life being the same as it was a millennia ago.
Their traditional houses are dug into the ground, built out of rough-hewn stone with a roof made of turf. Around a third of the Stemorish population still live in small settlements in this type of house. However, there are also larger settlements with taller buildings constructed out of wood and stone. These are hubs of trade and power, and typically the seats of the most powerful men in Stemor, its leaders.
