The Frozen North officially has the least land of any continent on Etrea, though by looks alone it is often considered one of the largest. It is located to the extreme north of the planet, and is characterised by frigid temperatures. The majority of the continent is actually a floating mass of sea ice, known as the Expanse, which is anchored to the sea floor by giant columns of ice shaped by magic. The only actual land is a volcanic archipelago known as the Azupl Isles.
Underneath the Expanse is a large merfolk city known as Qasceile. On the Azupl Isles, the other sapient species thrive despite the low temperatures.
