Lordspire, also known as the imperial city, is the capital city of Kaien, and the largest city on the continent of Caia. It has a population of around seven hundred thousand people, which includes a large number of students who study at one of the city's nine arcana. It is located on Kaien's southern coast, a few miles from the country's striking white cliffs.
Lordspire has been a settlement for around three thousand years, but it has not always been the capital city. In 4658 EA, the crown changed hands into a different noble family, and the capital was moved to their home city. A new royal palace was built to commemorate the occasion.
