Coranir

One of the northern countries on the continent of Aenica, Coranir is tucked against the west side of the Great Northern Spine. The north is made up mainly of polar tundra and thick boreal forest, giving way to temperate rainforests and deciduous forests in the south. In the north lies Lake Haraval, the largest freshwater lake in Aenica and the deepest in all of Etrea. Due to the cold climate, it remains frozen for about half of the year.
Coranir is ruled by the Trinity, three kings of equal power who act as balancers of each other. New kings are elected upon the death of the old, but (usually) only from predetermined aristocratic families. Coranir has been ruled this way for over a thousand years.
