Bahamut (Ba-hum-et)

The Platinum Dragon, Bahamut, is one of two dragon deities in the world of Ecadia. Said to to be the polar opposite to his sister goddess Tiamat the Platinum Dragon represents order and stability, he is revered most by most Metallic Dragons who strive to embody his ideals and uphold the world's natural order.
Scriptures describe Bahamut as a colossal dragon, standing as tall as a mountain, glimmering platinum scales and wings that could cover a city. Legend has it that when The Platinum Dragon ventures into the mortal plane he brings with him seven large Gold Dragons, no one knows whether they are added protection for the God or just simply agents.
Mortals believe Bahamut to be the "Dragon God of Good", those who follow him further know it is not so simple. The Platinum Dragon's true domain is Order, enforcing the world's natural place and stability, he will often keep out of most mortal affairs, only interfering to correct or stop the rampage of chaos. Bahamut's followers will often find themselves in places of diplomatic, religious or militaristic authority and will strive to hold and maintain order and stabilty amongst their domains.
Not much is known about how Bahamut or his sister Tiamat came into being, whether they were amongst the first gods when the world was forged or rose to their stations in the millenia that followed. Some ancient races believe they were originally one being, older and more powerful than any one God, that was sundered into two seperate deities, taking on two halves of a whole domain.
