Troll Lichen
There are others, here. I suspect they are intelligent, but they are like nothing I've ever seen before. From a distance they resemble large tilkens, although the wrong colour, but up close they look more like humans coated in layers of rocks.
They move slowly and don't speak, or at least they don't speak any language we understand.

Troll Lichen is the imaginative name given to the odd rock-like growths that cover all Rudeskan trolls from head to toe. It protects them from the harsh, unyielding Rudeskan sun of the Dawn Side.
Ecto-plasma Radio-gaga?
Troll lichen is ectosymbiotic (lives on the surface of its host) and radiotrophic (absorbs radiation to stimulate growth).
In this symbiotic relationship, the lichen provides protection from heat and radiation while the troll provides constant exposure to the sun that the lichen would struggle to achieve on its own, as well as direct nutrition that the lichen takes from the troll's actual skin.
Legendary skin
Even the Rudeskan trolls themselves don't know for sure whether trolls originated on Neyush or Rudeska, and at which point the symbiotic relationship with the troll lichen began.
