Beginning of Storyline:
Primogen Marcus Simms requested help from Jax and his coterie to track down and bring him a "kid" (roughly 20-year-old) quickly and quietly. In exchange for the kid, he would pay the Coterie a Major Boon. The Primogen will explain that the kid is a biological relative of a Werewolf that Dr. Crucio abducted from the streets after he left St. Jude’s Hospital. Dr. Crucio asked/offered the Tremere to help with research on the kid, which the Primogen was assigned to do. He will say that he has been working with Dr. Crucio trying to test Werewolf Kinfolk for various things like if they have special blood like the Garou do, if there are genetic signs of being a werewolf, etc... But the kid managed to escape from Dr. Crucio’s lab. The kid is suspected to be hiding in the Park or the Underground. If the kid escapes back to the Garou, it will cause serious issues with them. So, the NPC needs to secure him to prevent himself and many other kindred being killed. The Primogen Kept This Information Secret But May Come Up Later:- Primogen Marcus Simms and Dr. Crucio have a few kids of different ages and sexes being held in cells at Dr. Crucio’s lab. They have been testing the younger kids for signs of their werewolf changes developing during puberty and that kind of thing.
The Kid’s Location:
The Kid made it into the Underground and was showing clear signs of PTSD, Paranoia, etc… ranting about “Licks, Aliens, and Needles”. The Homeless took care of him the best they could before Arachne showed up and tried to lure him back to Dr. Crucio’s Lab via the Labrynth. Shortly after entering the Labrynth, they were intercepted by BSD who kidnapped the Kid (without a fight from Arachne since she fled) and took him to the Ritual Site in their Labrynth.The Hunt For The Kid:
The Coterie tracked the kid into the Labrynth where they found him in a Black Spiral Dancer cave, undergoing some kind of ritual. There was a BSD symbol on the ground made up of some foul smelling, corrupted, viscous substance and the Kid was in the dead center being sucked down into the earth. The only part of the kid’s body that remained above ground was the kid’s face. Quinton ran up to the Kid and tried to save him, and had made eye contact but the Kid’s eyes were clouded as if no one was home. But Quinton was the last thing that the Kid could see before the blackness overtook him. The kid then made a popping noise as he was sucked entirely underground. Quinton and Douglas could see BSD Werewolves coming from the shadows around the wall of the cave, and they swaying and dancing in an odd alluring fashion. Douglas had a premonition that caused him to begin dancing like the BSD were. The Kid then got sucked underground. Echo arrived to rescue to Coterie before anything else happened. Douglas’ Premonition was tied in with his Clan Bane. He feels a tinge of what could be loss or as if he is missing something but can't determine any details. It's like when you walk into a room and you can tell something is wrong, or has changed, but you can't put your finger on it. Despite this feeling of loss or missing something, he is also oddly inspired. He has a feeling that his painting will reveal to himself what it is he is missing or lost. When he paints next, it feels as if his fingers dance across his canvas swaying and gliding like he felt in the cave. He can feel his hands twist and turn as he paints, in lines and patterns almost like that of the symbol on the ground he saw in the cave. Despite the way his hands unnaturally move as he loses himself in his painting, what shows up on his canvas doesn’t seem to line up with the way his hands draw the brush across the canvas. The strangest part is that the end result is similar to what he was intending to paint. But not quite right.The Kid Returns:
The Kid showed up the next night at the Coterie’s Haven. He was covered in blood, gore, and that foul smelling substance when he barged into the Haven. The Butler caught the kid as he collapsed and yelled for Quinton to come help. Before passing out, the Kid made eye contact with Quinton and recognized him from the Cave. The Kid managed to say “You… Help…” Before he passed out.Effects of the Ritual:
The BSD changed/corrupted the Kid into a Beast. A servant of the Wyrm. He tracked down the Coterie for 2 reasons. Firstly, Quinton was the last person the Kid saw before he was corrupted. Secondly, his new powers including some heightened senses allowed him to track down the Coterie. The Kid could tell that Quinton shares the Vitae of Dr. Crucio, and that Jax who was also at the ritual shares the Vitae with Simms, and this is what he focused on to track them down. He was unsure why the people who nearly saved him are so close to the ones who caused this to happen.Kid’s Goals/Motivations:
- The kid seeks revenge for what Dr. Crucio and Primogen Simms did to him. He is driven by the corrupted Bane Spirit that was bound to him during the ritual to achieve his vengeance.
- The kid seeks vengeance on his Werewolf Kin, since they let all of this happen to him, but also wants to return to his old life which was harmonious with his Kin.
- The kid seeks to understand why the Coterie tried to save him, when their Sires were torturing him.
