Sharlak
Much debate persists over whether Sharlak are a flesh hungry beasts or a race of mortal cannibals. Not much is known about this amphibious race who dwells in the warm oceans, but they are feared by sailors and coastal peoples alike. Sharlak jaws can open to frightening lengths, filled with longs rows of saw-like shark teeth.
Sharlak emerge out of the oceans to drag land-dwellers back down into the depths and feast on their flesh. Sharlak feeding frenzies have given them such a bloodthirsty reputation that many of the seas are highly feared. A few reports state that Sharlak have been seen ashore, wearing kelp loincloths and using simple tools or crude weapons widdled of bone.
