Gorum
Few westerners understand where this huge bumbling race of night mortals came from. Gorum just simply showed up one day and started eating. Formally noctural, too lazy to get up during the night, they have few motivations. Their sheer lumbering size led them to pilfer food off of smaller races, especially the beardless Harvest Dwarves of the Grublands. They do little more than lumber around, eat and grow fat.
However, a minority of Gorum can be found in the Dwarven kingdom of Gildron. The hard Dwarven work ethic have rubbed off on these Gorums and as result these Dwarven allied Gorum have found tolerance out West. Gorums who serve the Dwarves are often outfitted for heavy lifting in construction or craftsmanship while many are armored tanks used to terrible effect in the Dwarven military.
The Gutter Dwarves of Ogden, Dwarves of questionable character and morals, have employed some Gorums as slave handlers to help control the other powerful night mortals who have been enslaved by slave trade known as the Black Ring.
