Quaelinari [qwell-in-ar-e]
The Elves, known in the Elvish tongue as the Quaelinari, dwell in the golden forests of Jui-Rae. A land of glowing Sunfire Trees and sprawling Sunstone cities Jui-Rae is famous for its beauty and grander. It is also home to several great trade cities and many quant deep wood villages, the Elven forests are the true wonder of the East. Arynathia, the capital of Jui-Rae, is said to be made of solid gold, but foreigners wishing to gaze on her beauty are blindfolded as they’re brought to the city.
Despite its beauties, many parts of Jui-Rae have been ravaged by the Elf Wars. The Elves have been at war with their mortal enemies, the Dark Elves, for over two millennia. The loosely held codes of war have been all that has prevented the two Elvish houses from complete destroying one another, but even those codes threaten to unravel as of late.
