Davril is a recent graduate of Phendyrimoth’s tower, who attained the legendary rank of Warmagi at a very young age. A Warmagi is master of both sword and sorcery, often marked by a magician’s hood worn over traditional or enchanted armor. Davril's magic knowledge is highly advanced for a hybrid warrior. Davril desires to join the legions in the protection of Doljinaar, but his best friend, Edronius, has other plans. Davril is a natural leader and has a noble heart, so he is often inclined to help those in need.
Phendyrimoth’s infamous tower is the most famous magic school of all Covent, hidden south of Capital Doljinaar in a remote isle in the icy arctic sea known as the Haraglace. It was there he met the red-robed mage Edronius and the pair became inseparable, even graduating at the same time and embarking on many adventures together. Davril’s level head often offsets Edronius’ bolder, wilder personality and ideas, but the pair makes an excellent team.
Davril is the son of an ex-soldier, which makes him naturally disciplined. He grew up in the fortress city of East Falguard, on the dangerous borders of the black forest of Jui-Sae. He is a member of the Blade Order, which has been recently pushed out of the High Mage Order, due to high robe prejudice against magic users they consider of divided skills, or “dabblers” as they are patronizingly labeled. Most magicians would be most unwise to underestimate Davril, however, given he trained under the great Phendyrimoth himself, the wisest and most famous wizard of all the lands.
