Trait: Dreamscarred Press

Reserved Material

Dreamscarred Press, or DSP, was a TTRPG company and devloper of many expansions and add-ons for Pathfinder 1st and 2nd edition. Many of these expansions focused on converting mechanics, or even just concepts, from older D&D books into Pathfinder. At some point during the late 2010's, DSP went dark, and hearsay mentions many of those who worked for them have moved on.

That being said, the creator of CHASE enjoyed their work and always created worlds and stories with their mechanics in mind. To this end, They will slowly be added and rebalanced to CHASE...with a bit of a twist to honor both legacy and legality. Namely, what the company once was, those who worked on it, and those who've been maintaining the rules, theming, and worlds from DSP after they were gone.

To this end, ALL work with this tag will be Reserved Material this trait, unless otherwise stated. Furthermore, this unique Attribution will have 3 additional conditions.

  • References will be direct, but with " serial numbers filed off". Using a named-alike or something a concept more vague. The original version of an ability, feature, or class, may be referenced by name, but only as a point of credit. Lore/flavor specific to setting will be referenced less or removed as things change.
  • CHASE, and this content, is still free. As said elsewhere, CHASE is free to play in perpetuity. As Reservered Material it cannot be added works based off of such, this will include all stuff related or translated from Dreamscarred Press regardless of how distinct it is from the originals.
  • Permission will be adhered to. CHASE is not endorsed by Paizo, Dreamscarred Press, or any other person or peoples who sell or create Dreamscarred Press's body of work. As said, CHASE will be following the examples of others who have taken DSP's work under their wing, and wil be their efforts. If any of these folk, or the original writers/creators from Dreamscarred Press, ask for their work to be removed; it will be without issue.
  • Original authorship will be given. All original authors will be listed here, with their books, socials, and/or current projects listed here as further attribution.
