Trait: Augment
Some abilities, features, maneuvers, and spells have variable numbers that change under certain criteria. Other feates or features augment the usage of an action, even going as far as to remove restrictions or change elements. This is kind of tuning is called 'Augmentation' or 'Augmenting', and anything with this trait has to do with Augmenting.
All Augmentation is done as a Free action / ◇, offset by the resource cost.
↗/Augmented by Level: An effect raises naturally, linked to a character's level in some way.
⤴/Augment Up: Raises an effect upward. Often used by spending a resource, such as a spell slot, to raise the variable effect. Can also tie said variables.
⤵/Augment Down: Lowers an effect, often reducing the number by a given amount. Downcast spells follow these rules.
↣/Augment by Chaining: Certain Actions and Abilities that normally have a restriction (such as the "Part of an Attack" syntax/cost of only one per Attack) can be ignored, leading to such action(s) or abilities being layered with the same free action.
⇆/Ability Augment Feat: Term: Feat that change an Ability's effect the cost of resources (usually points or spell slots).
