Abilities, especially those with a verbal component, can be spoken backwards to reverse the effects of the spell. Traditionally, this is called a palindrome or a cantrip, while in this system, this unleashes a separate power within a spell, conjuring its opposite rather than itself. Other times, this unleashes the true potential of a spell, or outright hinders it to the point of non-existence. In this way, the spell becomes Augmented, becoming something totally new.

As an example, Blessing Word, when reverse cast, becomes Baneful Word, and the reverse comes true.
