Item Description

You can throw a grappling hook with a rope tied to it to make a climb easier. It's lighter and easier to use than lugging around Climbing Gear.
To anchor a grappling hook, make a Thrown⚙️ weapon attack roll vs Climbing DC centered around Athletics or a similar roll (typically a DC 15 + 1 per every vertical 5 ft). On success, the hook has a firm hold. On critical failure, the hook falls and clangs agains the ground loudly, potentially ruining any hope of Stealth the user(s) may have wanted.
Needs Rope to be used.
