A piece of enchantable vellum that retains any magical property inscribed into it. It is a way of 'saving' magic before applying it to it's intended vessel. As magic items tend to retain their luster through ages, such is the case with Enchanting Runes no matter the material, even undoing creases and folds when smoothed out.
An Enchanting Rune can be the target of an Enchant at the end of
Crafting with no additional cost or resources aside from the Rune itself. Applying an Enchanting Rune requires the
Enchanting an Item / Applying an Enchanting Rune Activity.
An Enchanting Rune holding an Enchant is usually called a "... Rune" or "Rune of...". As an example, a Rune for +1
Weapon Potency would be named "+1 Weapon Rune" or similar.
