BH: Jungle Catfolk

Catfolk

Description

Roleplaying Info

It's said that most catfolk were originally born from the jungle, and although this isn't always true, the wild legacy of those feline folk can still be felt in the modern day.

Either through planar knowledge or traditions spanning longer than nine generations, your family and/or community retained the knowledge of larger cats from lush landscapes filled with untamed wilderness. As a result, you can move through such with ease, and take advantage of ritual or technique in your adventures that are beyond the understanding of those not familiar with the wilds.

This heritage is available to all Catfolk due to its generalized nature.

You Might...
  • Become alerted to small things in the distance, well before your companions take notice.
  • Be known to cut deeper into enemies, striking at with surprising effectiveness.
  • Place yourself in advantageous situations naturally.
Others Probably...
  • Are fearful, or surprised, at your use of feline agility to strike at foes effectively.
  • Find it hard to follow you through foliage.
  • See you as either a ferocious creature, or an extremely put together one hiding a much more feral side.

Base Talent(s)

You gain the following...
Pride and Tradition

Your people have kept the traditions of pack hunters alive in your community history and heart. As a result, your natural weapons and senses are sharper.

Your natural weapons increase in strength by 1 step (d6 > d8 > d10 > d12 > d12+d4, etc)

Additionally, your sense of smell and hearing is heightened, granting you Advantage on Adventuring and Perception checks made while using such. If you would already have advantage, you gain a bonus dice (base d4) instead.

Finally, you treat Greater Difficult Terrain as normal Difficult Terrain. If you have another feature that mitigates difficult Terrain entirely, it subsequently applies to all Greater Difficult Terrain as well.

As this talent is tied to a heritage, it cannot be regained or swapped, unless under specific circumstances.
