The Akiniyan are a people of hunters and protectors. As such, their cultural weapons and traditions revolve around being able to blend both. Sometimes, this even incorporates hints of magic. You gain proficiency with all simple and martial weapons from 2 weapons groups of your choice, or from the Advanced Weapons of choice, if chosen; from the list below. If you already have proficiency with all Simple and Martial weapons, you gain proficiency with the the of that weapon group. Axe, Polearm, Shieldstrike , Sword, Thrown, Unarmed, Wand Additionally, you gain proficiency with any weapon considered ‘Akiniyan' or 'Leonin' in nature (example: it has the Akiniyan trait) Finally, you can use weapons from the Polearm Weapon Group as a casting focus, allowing your abilities to inherit all the benefits of your weapon when used to attack.
