Thousands of years ago, your ancestors made a pact with an extrtaplanar entity steeped in Shadow. It has not forgotten this, even if you wish it had not. You gain damage resistance to Shadow damage if you didn't already, and gain further damage reduction equal to your proficiency bonus (this stats with other sources). You also learn your choice of a Shadow ability of 3rd to 6th rank. You choose the casting ability of this spell, and once per Long rest you can use this ability without using resource points or spell slots.
