"Apologies, Sir, I just want to be ready."

"Ready for what?"

"For anything Sir, that's what armoured with preperation means, respectfully, Sir."

"And you wear pieces of armour on your face for that?" That's what had gotten the Colonel's attention, in the first place.

"It's mental sir, you feel it against your skin, it reminds you, that you must be ready."
