Fuchs Gene-lineage

Fuchs a6f9f9eb-bd7f-4905-ad82-fb0e807900f9 was pacing. Fuchs 3341416b-365f-4d95-98a7-96fac99c6b8e and fuchs e3a31fb1-2bcf-46fc-84c4-57082bbd4f1a (I'll refer to them by the last four digits of their uuid from now on, for brevity) were late.   "Whose brilliant idea was this?"   "Mine." 00f9 spoke. "I invited you both here to address a matter of common concern.   "Is it? Last I checked, you lived way out in the silver zone, where it's safe..." Replied 4f1a.   "Safe from some things, not so safe from others. And ultimately, no area of the terran meritocracy is safe from people in the meritocracy acting in a stupid, boneheaded and criminally negligent way."   "And yet..." That was 6b8e.   "And yet? Your part of the gold zone is kept safe from the aliens by our troops! We get invaded, not you... But at the same time, blood calls to blood, you're not some Oslosson, hot-headed and blinkered, but flesh of my flesh. I am listening, if you would speak sense, I would listen, at least." That was 00f9.   4f1a spoke: "My.. sponsors in the gold faction want to make me Hierarch of the Terran Meritocracy."   00f9 said: "I knew that, an alliance of Cosmopolitans and Fatimas, as far I can tell, finds you less objectionable than most."   "What? Not Fuchs?"   "We've not allied behind a candidate yet, and I don't need to remind you, we're not famous for doing so."   6b8e spoke: "We're famous for infighting, everyone knows this. But when have we not been put together by common interests, or enemies?"   "A salient point." The other two agreed.   "Who is our enemy?"   "They're not our enemy to the level of the aliens in the Halo Stars, but the Gold and Silver Geneholders want to diminish our potential and misuse our gifts. It is a terrible thing when trust is broken, when promises are broken..." Interjected 6b8e.   "They broke promises to you?" Said one of the other, and 6b8e continued:   "I was to be made hierarch. Despite my visible... difference, I was promised my skill, my prowess as a commander, would be more important than a random mutation that saved my life. Then that promise was taken away, and you are to be made hierarch."   "Clearly, that is most upsetting to you. And yet, that doesn't leave us with a solution."   "It does, if we are clever at it. The ancient terrans, some of the most ancient we still remember in writing, had a quaint custom, they called it a Triumvir, when they were holding an office jointly, and I believe this holds the solution to our problem." 00f9 took a breath. "We will break the gold stranglehold on power, by naming me hierarch, but at the same time, you will be my closest associates and advisors, to ensure that the Fuchs geneline, famous for being born of the first consort, is not neglected like it's been lately."   "Do you remember what made Fuchs great?"   "Remind us, remind us again."   "We were the first teachers, when there was nothing, we preserved the knowledge of civilisation, when everyone was a clone-child, we taught."

Inconsistencies of the above document:

Fuchs were indeed recorded as being among the first decanted, and the first teachers, but as adults. Unlike the story above that implies they were somehow teaching child-clones while being children themselves. The presence of functional computers at the time also made this no great feat, it would be almost a century later than the technology transfers from Terra would truly begin to degrade. What we know as the Fuchs gene-line is actually the gene-expression of some of the children of the first Fatima and the first Cosmopolitan. These early Fuchs would also be among the first to exhibit the Auburn trait.
