Uereumu Uum

Uereumu Uum is the Dean of the School of Eimai and, as such, its political leader as well. He's highly regarded as an arcanist, considered to be quite powerful as a topomancer but also a great and diplomatic leader with good judgement. Thanks to his leadership, the School has become more open, accepting students of any ethnicity and partially opening its borders to visitors.

Brief biography

Uereumu Uum was born in a small town of the outer islands, where he learned the basics of topomancy from a non-licensed arcanist. However, since he was born deaf and couldn't speak or understand spoken language, he had serious trouble understanding his teacher, who didn't have the patience for him.   When he was of age, he was accepted into the School of Eimai as a student. Classes weren't accessible to deaf people, but thanks to a newly-made friend who knew sign language, he managed to follow along and graduate with the highest score. However, knowing how unwelcoming the School could be to certain groups, he decided he would change that. So he began a journey to learn even more, to explore the world, and to make sure people from all over would know his name. When he was ready, he joined the School as a professor, and when the former Dean died, he was chosen as his successor.

Political agenda

As the Dean of the School, he has opened the School borders to citizens of the Eimaui Confederation, although most of the island is still restricted for citizens only. He's also given priority to accessibility for disabled people and has made sure there isn't any sort of discrimination against people of other ethnicities or backgrounds. These are laregly considered good actions, but some people think he's bringing the School too close to the Confederation's government, which, according to them, could be the end of the School's independence.

Hi there! You may not know me, but I am the sponsor of the Great Leader of Their People Summer Camp Prompt this year! Since you wrote this article, I would like to know, would you mind me reading it aloud on my Twitch channel this week? I have a lot to get through so it helps to do it live while people watch. I've scheduled to go live at 8am and 8pm Eastern Time every weekday. If you join and comment, I can go over your article right then and there! If you'd like to coordinate a specific date, let me know. If you aren't able to make it (or don't want to be present live), you can also always watch streams after the fact on my YouTube channel   BUT, if the answer is NO because you'd rather I not, it's okay! Not agreeing to be streamed definitely does not put you at any disadvantage for winning in my eyes. Please respond swiftly by replying here (make sure to click REPLY under my comment or I won't be notified), message me on my World Anvil profile page, Discord, or anywhere else you find me online.   Thanks again! Whatever you choose, God bless and much success! <3

Hi! Sure, no problem. But also, I didn't really participate to win anything, these are just my personal notes. So feel free to skip this one in your judging, I don't mind at all!

I appreciate the response and the permission! A lot of my own articles were jumbled notes as well, so that's no problem. Plus, I'm not a harsh judge. ;) <3 Have a blessed one!
