Provisional General Store
- On the outside, this Fas-owned general store at Heshi Ariko's provisional neighborhood looked unremarkable.
- Provisional neighborhoods around yashelin cities usually have at least one general store ran by a Fas resident. Heshi Ariko's provisional neighborhood has historically had the longest running of them all.
- No outsider would have looked twice at the store front, which blended in with the rest of the homes except for a sign announcing its purpose.
- After Heyir's disappearance, Heshi Ariko's neighborhood lost the protection that Heyir had quietly provided for their residents against outside forces, since many of these folks had run away from their Gens seeking independent lives.
- The general store quickly became a front for a criminal organization dedicated to protecting its residents from outside incursions. Unfortunately, the price was so high that they started to turn to illicit goods to meet the demand that would keep the people safe.
- The general store shelves became unsettlingly bare. They kept just enough to maintain their designation, but few Fas actually tried to shop there without an ulterior motive.
- Leadership varied; at the time of the downfall of the criminal organization, the reason for their existence (protecting themselves) got lost in the minutia of the crimes they were committing, and the wealth they had built.
- The yashelin authorities narrowed down the criminal ring to the general store and raided it. The most prominent members of the organization were arrested and punished, and the organization itself ultimately crumbled in response.
- The yashelin made generous deals with each of the Gens in return for leaving the neighborhoods alone. They obeyed those terms for the most part, but conflict still rose up every now and then.
- The general store has since returned to being nothing more than a general store, although there is still a hint of resentment whispered within its walls.
