Description:
Aeg, the goddess of the Oceans, Chance and Change, is one of the five great gods of The Cult of the Weave. She is known for her role in controlling the fate of those who travel the oceans and being the embodiment of chance and change. Her domains of power include oceans, chance, change, and travel, and her holy symbol is a crescent wave. In the Cult's mythos, Aeg is said to be one of the daughters of Cos: the All-Mother goddess of Light and Protection, and is closely associated with the unpredictable nature of the oceans. She is seen as a goddess who controls the fate of those who travel the oceans, and her followers believe that she has the power to bring good luck and fortune to those who call upon her, but also, to change the course of their destiny if they displease her. Those who worship her often make offerings and perform rituals before embarking on oceanic voyages to seek her favor and protection. Aeg's avatar is often depicted as a dragon, symbolizing the power and ferocity of the oceans, and the ability to adapt and overcome. Her preferred weapon, a trident, represents the power to control the ocean, and the ability to navigate through the unknowns of life. Her followers see her as a goddess of travel, and closely associated with the unknowns of life, and often seek her guidance and protection when venturing into unknown territories. High Priest Roland Thornfall, is the High Priest of Aeg in The Holy City of Kindra and leading member of The Cult of the Weave. He is responsible for leading the worship of Aeg, performing rituals and ceremonies, providing guidance and advice to followers of Aeg and overseeing the oceanic travel related rituals.
