Walls of Aaroth (AIR-awth)

The boundary surrounding Aaroth that separates it from the Void between the inner and outer planes.
Some believe it is an actual wall but most scholars and sages agree that it is more likely a metaphor, describing a mystical barrier. Understandably, there are arguments as to whether such a barrier is of arcane or divine nature. This has led to great debates and even to open conflict, but neither theory has been explained or proven enough to sway either camp.
There is also debate on all sides as to the permeable nature of the Walls of Aaroth. The predominant belief is that the Astral Plane is the only way to reliably travel through the Walls of Aaroth, between the inner and outer planes, and thus traverse—or rather, bypass entirely—the cold, dark emptiness of the Void.
