The Tenir, or Firstborn.
There are several divisions, or sub-races of elves:

Grey Elves

Aeléndar (ale-EN-dar), the "high lords"
Thrilgaeri (thril-GARE-ee), the Vanguard

High Elves

Aivaeri (eye-VARE-ee)
Eledánni (el-leh-DAH-nee), the "Friends of Man"

Sylvan or Wood Elves

Súradar (SOOR-a-dar), "wood Elves"

Dark Elves (Drow)

Sindaeri (sin-DARE-ee)
