Deck of "Blessing" Item in Arc Sagas | World Anvil

Deck of "Blessing"

"Lucky draw."
— recepient of a fortunate "Blessing"...

A Blessing Deck is a stack of 21 cards that confers one of the three benefits of a "Blessing" spell. By drawing cards from the Blessing Deck, the owner or chosen recepients receive one of three insights.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The deck is shuffled and the top card is revealed face up; if the owner of the Blessing Deck is granting the Blessing to someone else, the card is revealed directly to the recepient. Once it has conferred its effect, the card disappears in a trace of spiritual vapor.

Roll 1d4.
1/ +2 to next Proficiency check. 2/ + 2 to next Attack. 3/ + 2 to Armor Rating. 4/ Reroll.

Owner may attempt an Attunement check when drawing a card to choose the benefit (DC20). If it is the last card of the deck, choose the effect.

The effect only lasts for 5 minutes. Doesn't stack with the "Blessing" spell or any other "Blessing" effect.

Manufacturing process

The artisan paints 3 Divinatory symbols on the cards, representing the desired effects. The process to create a "Blessing Deck" takes 8-10 hours. Successful Item Craft results above the DC by multiples of 5 decreases the hours to craft and enchant the deck.

Item Craft (DC10).
