Starshaven

This tiny island, found between Aorlis and the Vauldaros Islands, where the Seas of Stars and Wend meet, is the capital of a merchant empire and perhaps the most cosmopolitan port in the known world. It is governed as a guild-based city-state, and there are no feudal elements or local nobility. The Starshaven League, currently run by the Ashdowne House, operates the government here. Its climate is oceanic. Its population decidedly is multi-ethnic, drawing upon populations from across the known world. Pigeon Aenglik, a polyglot merchant’s tongue, is the business language, but all tongues are spoken here. All the major Aorlisian orders of militant monks have lavish, well-provisioned chapter houses here. There is no agriculture here, because the city and its port cover the total land mass.
