Knights of Kelthan

Hallowed and Ancient Chivalric Order of the King Kelthan Sun Cloak

Based in Arlium, and called the Hallowed and Ancient Chivalric Order of the King Kelthan Sun Cloak, this order answer to the High King of Arlium, and its patron saint is Kelthan. Knights of Kelthan are created from any worthy, experienced soldier, man-at-arms or fighting yeoman. This is an old order, with a reputation for being rough but able. Their purview is military and defense-based, and often they are stationed at key defensive locations. The order was designed symbolically to replicate King Kelthan’s circle of knights from myth.

Their crest is a circle of twelve stars, or, on a field of azure and argent. The order’s livery consists of silver spurs, and a ceremonial cloak embroidered with silver. The oath they swear is the standard knightly pledge. There are three sub-orders or captaincies of 48 knights each, which includes a captain and three lieutenants per sub order. There are also about 400 supernumerary members in reserve. Member benefits include the right of hospitality in Arlium, and they have a chapel in Imraldun Cathedral, and a tower in Mydia.
