Exemplar Knights

Most Serene Order of the Exemplars of the Forest Realm

Based in Eofwin, and called the Most Serene Order of the Exemplars of the Forest Realm, these knights answer to the Palatine Archduke of Eofwin, and their patron saint is Morloss. Exemplar knights are created by monarchial appointment, and limited to those born in Eofwin, and these knights have a reputation as counselors, judges, and ruthless action when required. They serve as a military close council, bodyguards, keeper of monarch's peace, and sometimes even as executioners. This order’s crest is a four-leaf oak wreath, vert, on a field of murray and or; and their livery comprises a golden tabard with dagged hem, and a badge of four radiating oak leaves in gold.

Their oath is the standard knightly oath. They are granted the language of trees, and the trees will work in tandem with the knights, and relay messages across the forest at great speed, and will warn the knights of interlopers. This woodland empathy also grants the knights superior herbalism skills. This order is limited to four knights, and an additional four secret supernumerary knights who act as spies and enforcers. All eight of the knights serve as equals, answering to the Palatine Archduke, not each other. The order operates out of a solitary lodge in Moranwynn.
