Badgers

This is a private, standing army paid for by the earl of Valodic. They have a reputation for being tenacious, never surrendering, and for heroic last stands. Their distinctive arms include helmets painted with the badger badge, and regimental poleaxes. Their crest is two badgers, one above the other.

Golden Leaf

This is a private, standing army in the employ of the Palatine Arch-Duke of Eofwin. They are longbow archers, drawn from the highly trained fighting yeomanry of Eofwin. They have a reputation for being fearless, as well as world-class marksmen, excellent foresters, and experts on the Eofwin’s terrain. Their livery is particolored tan and azure, and their crest is a wreath of golden leaves.

Red Lions

This unit is a private, standing military force created by the high king of Noelred, and it is filled by fighting yeomen chosen in yearly highland games for their great strength and endurance. They are armed in red lacquered maille, and their great strength makes their choice of two-handed swords ideal as shock troops. Their crest is two lions over a byrnie of red maille. There is a Red Lion subset trained in military engineering, sapping, mining, and masonry.
