Gwyfned City Wards

Found on the rugged, southeast face of Mt. Skaeldorr, outside and above the city, are two monasteries. There are St. Gillium’s Humilitine Abbey, and St. Wollyn’s Ordinate Abbey, and they are only accessible by rugged footpaths, with worn stairs and rope or chain handrails.

One of these paths begins at Upper City from a small postern gate in one of the city towers, and the other path originates outside the city on the West Brighton Pass. While open for visitation, only the brothers of these two orders live here in these remote places.
